Grief and Loss


Trying to cope with the death of a loved one can be especially traumatic. In addition to sorrow and depression, you can also feel anxiety, fear, anger, a loss of meaning and purpose, and even a loss of interest in life itself. Grief therapy not only helps you come to terms with the loss, it also helps you to adjust to life without the loved one. 

In therapy, I will help you cope with the reality of your loss and go through the process of grieving. Part of that process will be in understanding how the loved one's absence has changed you. In all of our relationships, we are someone's spouse or partner, brother or sister, child, parent, or friend. But when the loved one in gone, we discover that we cannot be that person anymore. So then the question becomes, "Who am I now?" I want to help you to answer than question.
